There are many ways to find information in the library

You can begin your search by searching the computer catalog

  • Use a Title search when you know either all, or the first few words of a title
  • Use an Author search when you know the name of the person who wrote
    the item you want.
  • Use a Subject search when you are looking for items on a particular topic
  • Use a Keyword search if you are not certain of the exact wording of a subject,
    author, title.

You can go right to the shelves to look for books.

  • MRL non-fiction books are organized by the Dewey Decimal Classification System
  • MRL fiction books are organized in alphabetical order by author’s last name.

MRL staff can help you find information for your homework assignments.
