What are the library's service hours? Click to find out.

Are you open on Sunday?
Yes, we are open 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday except in the summer months of June - August.

Where is the library located?
MRL is located at 80 North 6th Street in Uptown Richmond, Indiana. Click for a map.

Is there parking nearby?
Yes, these is free parking in several lots around the library.

Are you handicap accessible?
Yes we have several handicapped parking spaces with easy access ramps. We have an automatic door at the main entrance.

Can I use a meeting room?
No, not at this time.

We offer this free from trained volunteers

Due to the complexity of the tax codes, librarians are unavailable to answer specific tax questions.

What kinds of computer resources are available at the library?
We have a large lab located in our Audio-Visual Department. Click for more information.

Do you have a public fax machine? No, we do not.

How much does a photocopy cost?
10 cents per black and white copy.

Do you have a color copier?
Not at this time.

Does the library sell books?
Two or three times each year the Friends of the Library hold used book sales. For information see the Friends of the Library Booksales page.

Do you buy used books?
No, but you are welcome to donate them to our annual booksale. Please read the following guidelines.

Yes, we have a typewriter available for use in Audio-Visual Services

Do you have special programs for children?
Yes, we have many programs designed for children. Visit our Children's Department at the library on online.

How do I renew materials by phone?
Call the library at (765) 966-8291 and have your library card and items ready to read when phoning. More details.

How do I renew materials on the Internet?

How much are fines for late returns? Click for a fee schedule.

How can I get a book that the public library does not have?
Contact Adult Circulation Services and ask for an Interlibrary Loan?

What do I do if I lose my library card?
Contact Adult Circulation Services to report your lost card. A new one costs only 50 cents. Proper ID will be required upon opening a new account. More details available in our Get a Card section.

Genealogy & Local History Questions

Does the Genealogy and Local History Department do research?
We perform basic and brief research. We cannot undertake extensive genealogy research. Contact Reference Services with inquires as to what research will be done.

Do you have high school yearbooks?
Yes, we have yearbooks available for viewing in Reference Services. Inquire at that service desk.

Are there any genealogy classes in the area?
