Web Directories

If you are not sure what you’re looking for and are more interested in browsing a topic, try a Web directory.

A Web directory is compiled by people. When a person creates a website, he or she submits a short description to the directory; or, directory editors may write descriptions for sites that they review. A search will only find hits in submitted descriptions.

Suggested Web Directories:

Academic Info: Educational Subject Directory

AllLearn: Alliance for Lifelong Learning

Informine: Scholarly Internet Resource Collections

The Librarians' Internet Index: Websites You Can Trust
